What our students have to say about their Vermont MedED experience!
I recently completed both the NA and LNA classes with Vermont Med Ed. Other schools & educators in the area could not compare to Vermont Med Ed. The educators are professional, knowledgeable and approachable. I felt so comfortable in our zoom meetings and in-person jamborees. They make this course fun! There are plenty of how-to videos along with study notes provided to you by the staff which makes a students life easier. They have a hands-on approach in person and also offer additional class time at no extra cost. The faculty really want you to do well on the exams and they go above and beyond . The in person facility is clean and easy to get to. Delicious lunch & snacks were also always provided to us. I feel blessed to have gotten to know the faculty and staff at Vermont Med Ed. If you’re considering this course I encourage you to go for it !

Marsha, Katy, and Cheryl- I could not have asked for better instruction or a better experience than with you three world-class leading ladies teaching me the skills I will need throughout my career. Good communication was fostered and almost every topic was infused with infectious humor. Your stories always illustrated the point of conversation and helped even the toughest information to stick! I will be forever grateful that you were with me at the beginning of my journey into nursing. Thank you!

Thank you!

Choosing Vermont Med Ed was the best decision. Cheryl Connor & Marsha Arend have put together a great virtual PCA & LNA course that can be taken at home. The course is set up with the goal of helping you pass the final written & practical exams. The Skills Jamboree is a fun-filled day practicing the skills that you've learned in the virtual class. Cheryl & Marsha's main mission is to help you be successful in your new PCA & LNA profession. I highly recommend this course. Thanks ladies!

I have to say that I have never really been a sit down and learn type of a person, but in this class I learned more than in most of my high school years. The way that these amazing teachers take the time to present the classwork and teach it, is outgoing and not something you find around a lot. They have a way of teaching that drills everything into your head to a point that you have dreams about it. It is a lot and they make it seem like it’s really not.
You may have times where it feels like you are not getting anywhere but in theory you are. Cheryl, Katy and Marsha really make the class environment fun, but a calming learning environment as well. They bring food, tell stories, take breaks. They all do an amazing job with the class. As someone who struggled with school, these teachers really made it feel like the struggle for me was never real. With that being said when I did struggle they worked with me individually to make a plan on how to help me. The one thing that is really important that I really want to pin point is that homework is a thing. YES you have to do it! It will really help you. ALSO another thing that I will say is that STUDYING is amazing and really helps you. (Yes it's nothing I thought I would say) but please please please!!!! Study! And be nice to the teachers!! Thank you! Enjoy the class :)

The LNA program was amazing. Instructors are awesome. I got a chance to improve myself. At the end of the class I find myself a different one, with more confidence, knowledgeable and skillful. I’d like to thank my instructors for their amazing behavior. Thank you so much for being the best instructors. In future, I would like to join your further classes, if possible. I’d love to be with you again and again.

Marsha and Cheryl are such are such a powerful duo, so passionate about their jobs, so confident in their roles as teachers and caregivers - it is infections - no pun intended. Their combined years of experience and long list of skills is a blessing if you are sitting in their classroom. This class was super informative, it is very fun, very fast and with the benefit of hindsight, is such a thorough and thoughtful curriculum. Nothing is missed, skimmed over or ignored. I will miss our classes.

I was fortunate enough to take Vermont MedEd's PCA course taught by Marsha Arend and her colleague Cheryl Connor. I was amazed by their dedication and expertise in the training and education of those who will become future staff and care givers in hospitals, nursing facilities, and hospice organizations throughout the state. I personally benefited greatly by their compassion and care. The class was set up to make the information easy to understand and comprehend. They were able to challenge each student to become a great and well trained care giver in a way that wasn't overwhelming. I would take another class with them in a heartbeat. As a result of the training I received, I was able to get a job with a great organization called Wake Robin in Shelburne Vermont. I now have a job that I love, and wake up everyday thankful for the opportunity and training I received through Vermont MedEd. I'm happy that I get to see my teachers from time to time when they teach a LNA class at Wake Robin. Again thanks to Vermont MedEd Marsha Arend and Cheryl Connor for their dedication to communities like Wake Robin around Vermont!
